Musical Director Gill Irwin

Gill joined Cheshire A Cappella in October 2024 as Musical Director and has made a great impression on us, with her skill and expertise of barbershop singing. She has introduced several new songs into our repertoire including 'Wonderful World','Can't Take My Eyes off of You' and 'For Once in my Life'.

 A long standing barbershop singing enthusiast since 1988, and member of the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers, Gill has achieved 3 Gold medals singing baritone with Checkmate quartet (National 1994 & International 1996) and lead with Pzazz quartet 2015.

 

Gill directed her first chorus Crystal Chords from 1990-97 and returned as assistant director between 2010-2024.

 

Between 2001-2006 Gill sang as a soloist with Sing Live North West and as lead vocalist with ’In Cahoots’ cover band.
