Welcome – Caroline and Lynn Join Cheshire A Cappella!

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Caroline and Lynn are the latest talented voices to join the Cheshire A Cappella family! Their warm personalities and rich vocal tones have already brought new energy to our group, and we couldn’t be more delighted to welcome them officially.

At our recent rehearsal, Caroline and Lynn were presented with their LABBS membership certificates and signature pin badges, a symbolic and celebratory moment marking their full membership with both Cheshire A Cappella and LABBS. These were proudly presented by our Chair, Hilary, and Gill, our fabulous Music Director, in front of a room full of cheers, applause, and heartfelt congratulations from all of us.

So, what is LABBS?

LABBS stands for the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers, a national organisation dedicated to promoting barbershop-style a cappella singing across the UK. As a proud LABBS chorus, Cheshire A Cappella benefits from being part of a wider network of choruses, enjoying opportunities for education, performance, and competition at a national level. LABBS is also a wonderful community that champions harmony, friendship, and personal growth through music—values we hold close to our hearts.

Being presented with a LABBS certificate and pin is more than a formality—it’s a symbol of becoming part of something much bigger. It means joining a community of like-minded women, all passionate about music and dedicated to making harmony together.

We’re so proud of Caroline and Lynn for taking this step and for the enthusiasm and joy they bring to every rehearsal. They’ve already started making their mark, and we can’t wait to see them shine in future performances.
